Privacy Policy

Mumblers is designed to connect directly to Mumble servers selected by you.

Information collected by the developer

Mumblers does not transmit information to the developer automatically. The developer does not sell, rent, or use personal data for advertising. Mumblers contains no advertising SDKs, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking. If you choose to email support or send a safety report, the developer receives the information you decide to include in that email.

Connections to Mumble servers

When you connect, the server receives information needed to provide the service, which may include your network address, chosen username, authentication information, client version, voice packets, and messages. Those servers are independently operated. Their owners determine their own logging, retention, access, and moderation practices.

Information stored on your device

Server bookmarks and preferences are stored locally. Saved passwords and imported certificate identities are protected using the iOS Keychain. Removing the app may not immediately remove Keychain entries because iOS manages Keychain persistence separately.

Microphone and local network access

Microphone access is used to transmit voice when you join a voice session. Local network access allows connections to servers on your Wi-Fi network. Mumblers does not use microphone audio for advertising, analytics, or developer-operated recording.

Diagnostics

Diagnostics are retained in memory for troubleshooting and shared only when you initiate an export. Reports are designed to redact credentials and private key material. Review a report before sharing it.

User-generated content and safety

Voice and messages come from independently operated servers. From a user or message menu, you can block a user on that server. Blocking is stored on your device, hides matching messages, and discards matching voice audio.

Report User prepares details about the server, user, and selected message when applicable. Nothing is sent automatically. You can review and edit the details before emailing Mumblers Support, or copy them for the server administrator. If you send a report, the developer receives your email address and the information you chose to include and uses it to evaluate and respond to the concern. Server administrators remain responsible for server-side moderation.

Children

Mumblers is not directed to children and does not operate the servers or communities users choose to join.

Changes

This policy may be updated when Mumblers changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
